Amore Transitional Group, Inc. is on a mission to provide educational, housing, and supportive resources for those emancipated from foster care, high-risk or disadvantaged in an effort to promote their transition to adult leaders who positively impact their community.
WHAT WE DO
Our primary program is the SEED Program (Supporting, Educating, Empowering, and Developing Socially responsible community leaders). To aid the growth and character of our program participants, we encourage and motivate by developing their strengths through inner and outer self.
The State of Georgia has approximately 13,939 children in foster care as of December 2017.
519 of Georgia’s youth aged-out of Foster Care in 2015
At the time of emancipation, many youth have a host of barriers that prevent them from transitioning into adulthood successfully including learning disabilities, health, emotional, and behavioral difficulties.
As a result, it has become imperative that community based organizations serving foster care youth take into account these various issues as early as possible.
